Aspect ratio is the shape of an image. Print size is the physical size of the final print. They work together, but they are not the same thing.
A single aspect ratio can work across many print sizes. As long as the proportions stay the same, the image can scale up or down without distortion. When the proportions do not match, the artwork may need to be cropped or printed with extra border space.
