Drenched Dystopia
Drenched Dystopia
Inspired by the tragic case of Jayland Walker, a young man unjustly shot more than 60 times by eight police officers. This piece alludes to the haunting echoes of America's history, where Black men were forced into labor within fields. But this Black man stands amidst wildflowers - a symbol of freedom and hope. In the profoundly unjust Walker case, not a single officer faced charges, exposing the pervasive nature of racism that persists despite the passage of time.
