It is our commitment to reduce our environmental impact.

We understand that the fashion industry can have a negative impact on the planet. At Monochrome Canvas we strive to be as sustainable as possible in everything we do. We are a slow fashion label where all items are made-to-order to minimize waste, and we carefully select our suppliers to ensure they are operating in an ethical and sustainable manner. We are passionate about operating in a way that is environmentally conscious, always improving and seeks out ways to make a positive difference in the world.

This painting is inspired by Thich Nhat Hanh's "no mud, no lotus" sentiment and depicts a bouquet of flowers with the words "no mud, no lotus" hanging from it. Although the painting doesn't include any actual lotus flowers, it represents the Beginning Anew ceremony developed at Plum Village, where participants come together for active listening and communication. My husband and I practice this ceremony weekly and buy fresh flowers to symbolize the growth in our relationship. The illustration also portrays the flowers being washed away, reminding us of the impermanence of all things.

This laptop bag features the painting and serves as a reminder to transform suffering into joy, especially during work where it's easy to become overwhelmed with stress and anxiety and forget about how suffering can result in growth. It is perfect for daily use and can help bring mindfulness and positivity to your routine.
